I see lomography as extension of photography not separate. Perhaps the most important aspect of photography as an artform is using the camera as a tool to create a unique vision. The randomness of Lomo is what is so interesting because it is like the camera has its own unique vision. There is an Australian commercial photographer called Tim Hixson who does all his work using plastic cameras. http://www.timhixsonphotography.com.au/ You might some links on his site you use for your doco.

I really like the new gmail calendar. It is sooooo much bettter than ical and you can subscribe to it via RSS. I also like the way they present the e-mails in the form of a conversation. It is great when I am at work and have to e-mail my boss every 5 min because we can both keep track of the converation. As for the photos, I'm not sure that I'd really use them. Perhaps it would be good to put you company logo there instead?

I'm really looking forward to seeing how this project turns out. I have had a look at some of the photos and they look awesome - the project will obviously be very rich visually. I am also interested in the whole philosophy behind "Lomography". I think also that your project will complement each other so it'd be good to share ideas on your approach. Good luck!

I am a total advocate of the old gmail. Sounds like their adding even more ingenious solutions. I like sounds, and the photo option sounds interesting. Although I get bored of looking at the same photo of myself or anyone else. Often I find my memory of that person is reduced to that sole photo. I must say though on occasion I have looked through my address book and forgotten who some contacts are. I say three cheers to GMAIL, for letting you do soooooo very much.

Mobile media and moblogging is definitely an interesting area, but perhaps you need to expand on why this is so, and why it is different than other forms of online publishing - maybe via some social, technological, economic or historical considerations? You begin to scratch the surface of this with your closing points, but they need expanding or referencing to carry more weight.

Blogs are a relatively new communication device that is still being define.

I agree that blogs play a role in challenging new stories, and depending on the blog, and its credibility and exposure to traffic, these stories can have quite a large impact.

Earlier this year, BMW's Germany website was blocked by Google for using underhand tactics to improve the ranking of its website. This story came to light through a blog.

I would like to see blogs used more readily as sourced for news, as this will do hopefully have a positive effect on the re-democratising our major media streams.

Unfortunately, blogs are still only a small voice in a very busy macro media space.
